The men of God who followed the Messiah
NEVER CELEBRATED any festival that was NOT ordained by GOD. God specifically
warned His followers to NOT follow the TRADITIONS OF MAN. People who follow pagan
religions or combine them with “CHRISTIAN” ways will be put to death by God.
Colossians 2:8
See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit,
according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world,
and not according to Christ.
Deuteronomy 12:29-32
“When the Lord your God cuts off before you the
nations whom you go in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in
their land, take care that you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have
been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods,
saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do the same.’
You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way, for
every abominable thing that the Lord hates they have done
for their gods, for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire
to their gods. “Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. You
shall not add to it or take from it.
Matthew 15:3
He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the
sake of your tradition?
Jeremiah 10:1-5
Hear the word that the Lord
speaks to you, O house of Israel. Thus says the Lord:
“Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens
because the nations are dismayed at them, for the customs of the peoples are
vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands
of a craftsman. They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with
hammer and nails so that it cannot move. Their idols are like scarecrows in a
cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot
walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them
to do good.”
You disregard and
neglect the commandment of God, and cling [faithfully] to the tradition of men.
Another MAN-MADE Holiday Season with
origins based off of Pagan Holidays and Rituals of Bondage by mankind to
control others. It is just like Satan to pervert the sacred scriptures
teachings about the Death and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior through a
season created by the Roman Catholic Church which puts undo and unscriptural
bondage on the people in the church. Why
not, he had already convinced the Roman Catholic Church to pervert the
resurrection of our Lord with pagan rituals. The Roman Catholic Church has from
its inception been the church Satan has groomed to be his unholy church. They
have from the beginning and still to this day take in all types of pagan
religions tweaking them to seem like they are “Christian” religions. Satan has
done a great job of building a church that is leading billions of people to
their eternal separation from God in the Lake of Fire prepared for those who
chose to follow the ways of man and NOT the ways of God.
Refuse to follow the ways of the Roman
Catholic Church that has set itself up as a Pagan Church because it allows all
the Pagan Religions of the world to join. As you read above from Scripture God
will NOT tolerate a people who allow pagan ways into their lives.
It is time for the people who want to
stand with the Lord against the vileness that Satan has to offer, to reject
LENT and every other holiday invented by mankind…
1.
Ash
Wednesday – The beginning
of the Season of Lent which takes place 46 days before Easter Sunday. The Six
Sundays being your relief days from fasting or abstinence.
2.
Palm Sunday – Sunday before Easter
3.
Holy
Week – A week of
Observance before Passover
4.
Holy
Thursday – Observance of Passover
5.
Good
Friday – A day of
mourning the death of Jesus on the Cross
6.
Easter
Sunday – Celebration
of Christ’s resurrection
7.
Stations
of the Cross –
8.
Fasting
and Abstinence – No Fasting or
Abstinence because SUNDAY is a little Resurrection since JESUS rose on the FIRST DAY of the WEEK.
·
Canon
1250:
All Fridays through the year and the time of Lent are penitential days and
times throughout the entire Church.
·
Canon
1251:
Abstinence from eating meat or another food according to the prescriptions of
the conference of bishops is to be observed on Fridays throughout the year
unless they are solemnities; abstinence and fast are to be observed on Ash
Wednesday and on the Friday of the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
·
Canon
1252:
All persons who have completed their fourteenth year are bound by the law of
abstinence; all adults are bound by the law of fast up to the beginning of
their sixtieth year. Nevertheless, pastors and parents are to see to it that
minors who are not bound by the law of fast and abstinence are educated in an
authentic sense of penance.
·
Canon
1253:
It is for the conference of bishops to determine more precisely the observance
of fast and abstinence and to substitute in whole or in part for fast and
abstinence other forms of penance, especially works of charity and exercises of
piety.
1.
Abstinence - The
law of abstinence requires a Catholic 14 years of age until death to abstain
from eating meat on Fridays in honor of the Passion of Jesus on Good Friday
2.
Fasting - The
law of fasting requires a Catholic from the 18th Birthday (Canon 97) to the
59th Birthday (i.e. the beginning of the 60th year, a year which will be
completed on the 60th birthday) to reduce the amount of food eaten from normal.
The Church defines this as one meal a day, and two smaller meals which if added
together would not exceed the main meal in quantity. Such fasting is obligatory
on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. The fast is broken by eating between meals
and by drinks which could be considered food (milk shakes, but not milk).
Alcoholic beverages do not break the fast; however, they seem to be contrary to
the spirit of doing penance.
9.
What did you give up for Lent? – You must be held accountable
10. Ascension of Our Lord – A Holy Day of
Obligation celebrates the day Jesus, in the presence of the Apostles, ascended
bodily into Heaven
11. Pentecost – 50 days past “Easter”, better
known as the 50th day after the resurrection of Jesus which was the
day the Holy Spirit fell upon the people.
12. Mardi Gras – Another Pagan Holiday transformed
by the Catholic Church into a Holy Traditional Holiday. Mardi Gras has its
roots in the pagan Roman celebration of Lupercalia. This was a February holiday
and it honored the Roman god of fertility. It involved feasting, drinking, and
carnal behavior. However, with the rise of the Church in ancient Rome,
Christian teaching and morals took root, but there always remained a strong
need to blend ancient Roman traditional practices with the growing Christian
faith. The blending of tradition with new religious beliefs was a common
practice in the ancient world and it helped people to transition away from
paganism. In fact, there are a number of ancient Roman traditions that
persevere in the Roman Catholic Church to this day, where they continue to
guide the faithful. Although different countries around the world have their
own versions of Mardi Gras; The original intent of Mardi Gras has always been
to indulge, within the context of Catholic morality and reason, the last day
before the start of the Lenten season. Here, it is appropriate to mention that
while Lent is a season of self-sacrifice and repentance, it is not meant to be
a period of self-punishment or extreme hardship.
13. Transformed by Easter - The Resurrection of Jesus is the crowning truth
of our faith in Christ; a faith believed and lived as the central truth by the
first Christian community. An in-depth look at the significance of the
resurrection of Christ in terms of the Catholic Church.
