🏳️‍🌈✝️πŸ”» JESUS – SOCIAL JUSTICE – EQUALITY – LIBERATION for ALL

09/30/2018

_________________________________________________________________________________

What a wonderful example of SOCIAL JUSTICE we learn from the ONE who actually gave His life so you and I could be SET FREE from the BONDAGE of the RELIGIOUS ONES {Evangelicals with their rules and regulations made up by men who desire to control others, MODERN DAY PHARISEE’S} including the sins that so easily weigh us down.
In the fourth chapter of Luke’s Gospel, Jesus declares his purpose.

Learning to care for other’s like JESUS Commanded – Something the 1000’s of {Holier Than Thou, Do as I say NOT as I do} ministers across this great land have forgotten or REFUSE to do; yet say they are hearing from God while using God’s Word to ENSLAVE mankind instead of SETTING them FREE with the TRUTH from God’s Word!!!

While the modern day Pharisee’s {Evangelicals} are yelling from the PULPIT that Jesus was NOT a Social Justice Warrior, those of us who chose to believe the WORD of GOD know the TRUTH. While they are busy selling their sermons on DVD, selling their books and other items in the church; the TRUE FOLLOWERS of JESUS will be going about the business of the HEAVENLY FATHER. Don’t let yourself get caught up in the vain teachings of the wolves in sheep clothing that are doing everything they can to rob you blind while living in their earthly mansions, wearing high priced clothing and jewelry, driving cars that the average person could not afford in a life time, basically living the high life on your money while you struggle to get by month to month.

Be wary of false preachers who smile a lot, dripping with practiced sincerity. Chances are they are out to rip you off some way or other. Don’t be impressed with charisma; look for character. Who preachers are is the main thing, not what they say. A genuine leader will never exploit your emotions or your pocketbook. These diseased trees with their bad apples are going to be chopped down and burned. Matthew 7:15-20 {MSG}

Jesus went straight to the Temple and threw out everyone who had set up shop, buying and selling. He kicked over the tables of loan sharks and the stalls of dove merchants. He quoted this text:
My house was designated a house of prayer;
you have made it a hangout for thieves.

Now there was room for the blind and crippled to get in. They came to Jesus and he healed them. Matthew 21:12-14 {MSG}

Jesus had to clean out the House of God so He could go about doing the FATHER’S business, that of HEALING the SICK. God’s House is NOT to be a SOCIAL HANGOUT it is a place to learn and get HEALED!!! Jesus was RADICAL when it came to His Father’s House giving us an EXAMPLE of how we are supposed to treat the House of the Lord.

To be TRUE SOCIAL JUSTICE warriors let us to turn to the WORD of GOD to learn how JESUS took on SOCIAL JUSTICE through the POWER of GOD given to HIM to show the world how to LOVE and CARE for each other.

1.      We are to take care of the poor, the hungry, those less fortunate, the homeless, and the sick and to visit those in prison.

Then the King will say to those on his right, “Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what’s coming to you in this kingdom. It’s been ready for you since the world’s foundation. And here’s why:

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.”

Then those ‘sheep’ are going to say, “Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?” Then the King will say, “I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.} Matthew 25:34-40 {MSG}

 Give freely and spontaneously. Don’t have a stingy heart. The way you handle matters like this triggers God, your God’s, blessing in everything you do, all your work and ventures. There are always going to be poor and needy people among you. So I command you: Always be generous, open purse and hands, give to your neighbors in trouble, your poor and hurting neighbors. Deuteronomy 15:10-11 {MSG}

Be devoted to one another with [authentic] brotherly affection [as members of one family], give preference to one another in honor; never lagging behind in diligence; aglow in the Spirit, enthusiastically serving the Lord; constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength], contributing to the needs of God’s people, pursuing [the practice of] hospitality. Romans 12:10-13 {AMP}

Give and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return. Luke 6:38 {AMP}

Pure and unblemished religion [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular] world. James 1:27 {AMP}

2.      We are to become as servants to help others in need. John 13 {AMP}

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit [through factional motives, or strife], but with [an attitude of] humility [being neither arrogant nor self-righteous], regard others as more important than yourselves. Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-4 {AMP}

This is how we’ve come to understand and experience love: Christ sacrificed his life for us. This is why we ought to live sacrificially for our fellow believers, and not just be out for ourselves. If you see some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to God’s love? It disappears. And you made it disappear. 1 John 3:16-17 {MSG}

3.      Bear one another’s burdens.

Carry one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the requirements of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love].  Galatians 6:2 {AMP}

Now we who are strong [in our convictions and faith] ought to [patiently] put up with the weaknesses of those who are not strong, and not just please ourselves. Romans 15:1 {AMP}

4.      Best to abide by the Golden Rule

Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. Luke 6:31 {AMP}

Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them. Add up God’s Law and Prophets and this is what you get. Matthew 7:12 {MSG}

5.      Love one another like God has loved you {He proved His love by sending His Son to DIE for you, so that you may have eternal life through His Son, Christ Jesus} John 3:15-18 {MSG},  John 15:11-15 {MSG}

Owe nothing to anyone except to love and seek the best for one another; for he who [unselfishly] loves his neighbor has fulfilled the [essence of the] law [relating to one’s fellowman]. Romans 13:8 {AMP}

 Beloved, let us [unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves [others] is born of God and knows God [through personal experience]. The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and
Pure and unblemished religion [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular]

6.      Pray for one another exercising the POWER JESUS has given each of you to HEAL ONE ANOTHER...

Is anyone among you suffering? He must pray. Is anyone joyful? He is to sing praises [to God]. Is anyone among you sick? He must call for the elders (spiritual leaders) of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. James 5:13-16 {AMP}

When we come into agreement with another person concerning healing or anything else going on in their life, we can rest assured that Jesus is there with us hearing our prayer of agreement and being our mediator with God for His perfect will to be done in the matter.

“Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree [that is, are of one mind, in harmony] about anything that they ask [within the will of God], it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My name [meeting together as My followers], I am there among them.” Matthew 18:19-20 {AMP}

All glory and honor to God the Father for giving us a Savior and Teacher, Christ Jesus to prepare us for the task of caring for others needs and the power of prayer to help them get through the trials of this journey.

I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name [as My representative], I will do it.  John 14:12-14 {AMP}

7.      Jesus our Lord and Savior is our PERFECT EXAMPLE of how we should live our lives in honor of Him

Take time to lay hands on everyone around you who is sick so they can be made whole by the POWER of JESUS CHRIST living inside you. Make it your priority every day to talk about what God has done for you and be a witness to everyone you come in contact with. You DO NOT have to be a “preacher” to talk to others about JESUS CHRIST. Remember you must be full of the Word of God, fasted and prayer up with purity of heart in case you come around a demon or two along the way.

And He said to them, “Go into the entire world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed [in Me] and has been baptized will be saved [from the penalty of God’s wrath and judgment]; but he who has not believed will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.” So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord was working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed.] Mark 16:15-20 {AMP}

In Mark 16 and Matthew 10 Jesus is working on getting the point across to those who chose to follow HIM that HE gives them POWER to do the same things HE did. In John 14:12-14 we learn that we will do even greater things than JESUS did while HE was on this earth.

With modern technology we are able to reach out to people ALL around the world. We can agree with them online and see the miracle works of our Lord. God expects us to use every tool we have to bring HIS message of HOPE and SALVATION to everyone while imparting to them HIS HEALING for the body, mind and souls. Just think about how many people you come into contact with everyday on “social media”. Knowing God has given you the same POWER that JESUS had while He was here we can turn this world upside down with that POWER if we PROCLAIM it in all the social media circles.

Don't just pray for them. Heal them! The power is in the name of Jesus. You have been authorized by Heaven to HEAL everyone you come into contact with who is sick, even on the internet… PRAISE GOD!!!

In Luke 10:8-9 once again Jesus is telling His followers to HEAL the sick not just say a pretty little prayer for them.

Prayer can be encased in unbelief. Often it is a feeble attempt at hoping something will happen. It is time to be BOLD in the NAME of JESUS who gives you the POWER to HEAL the sick as He has commanded us to do. There is NO TRYING it out to see if it will work. When you exercise the POWER of the NAME of JESUS it WILL WORK 100% of the time.

And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, raise the dead, and cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

While the sun was setting [marking the end of the Sabbath day], all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Jesus; and laying His hands on each one of them, He was healing them [exhibiting His authority as Messiah]. Luke 4:40 {AMP}

And He went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people [demonstrating and revealing that He was indeed the promised Messiah]. Matthew 4:23 {AMP}

When evening came, they brought to Him many who were under the power of demons; and He cast out the evil spirits with a word, and restored to health all who were sick [exhibiting His authority as Messiah] Matthew 8:16 {AMP}

Just like Jesus we must use justice when dealing with other people. Like a good shepherd we must be willing to go out and search for the lost souls and bring them to Jesus.

I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bandage the crippled, and strengthen the weak and the sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong [who have become hard-hearted and perverse]. I will feed them with judgment and punishment. Ezekiel 34:16 {AMP}

Jesus’ earthly ministry taught us the importance of meeting not only the spiritual needs of the individual but the physical needs as well.  It would be hard for a person that does not have food to understand his/her spiritual needs.  As we learn to care like Jesus we will be able to care for others but spiritually and physically. One of the best examples I have experienced is Nurses who are often some of the most caring people.  When you witness a nurse or some type of medical professional truly caring and serving a person with great physical needs you will understand the joy that comes from serving others.  I have personally witnessed many caring nurses that have gone beyond what is required in their job descriptions to care for others.  Praise God for that!!!

If you are a nurse or doctor and have come across this article I just want to say that what you do every day is a beautiful picture of being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to those in need.  May we never take these people for granted and may we all (even if we are not nurses or doctors) show compassion for the needs of other people and in doing so, show the love of Christ to the world.

Then Jesus went back to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news about Him spread through the entire region. And He began teaching in their synagogues and was praised and glorified and honored by all. So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah), Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy), to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the favor of God abound greatly].”

Then He rolled up the scroll [having stopped in the middle of the verse], gave it back to the attendant and sat down [to teach]; and the eyes of all those in the synagogue were [attentively] fixed on Him. He began speaking to them: “Today this Scripture has been
Jesus always took the opportunity when it was handed to him to PROVE to the PHARISEE’S that their laws of oppression were NOTHING compared to the GRACE of the FATHER in HEAVEN.

In Luke 14 we see how one such opportunity presented itself. I love to read this story how JESUS once again put the Pharisee’s in their place proving they had not yet understood what it meant to truly be a follower of Christ Jesus.

It happened one Sabbath, when He went for a meal at the house of one of the ruling Pharisees, that they were watching Him closely and carefully [hoping to entrap Him]. And there in front of Him was a man who had dropsy (extreme swelling). And Jesus asked the lawyers and the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?” But they kept silent. Then He took hold of the man and healed him, and sent him on his way. Then He said to them, “Which one of you, having a son or an ox that falls into a well, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?” And they were unable to reply to this. Now Jesus began telling a parable to the invited guests when He noticed how they had been selecting the places of honor at the table, saying to them,“When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not sit down [to eat] at the place of honor, since a more distinguished person than you may have been invited by the host, and he who invited both of you will come and say to you, ‘Give this man your place,’ and then, in disgrace you proceed to take the last place. But when you are invited, go and sit down [to eat] at the last place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher’; and then you will be honored in the presence of all who are at the table with you. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled [before others], and he who habitually humbles himself (keeps a realistic self-view) will be exalted.” Jesus also went on to say to the one who had invited Him, “When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or wealthy neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you in return and that will be your repayment.But when you give a banquet or a reception, invite the poor, the disabled, the lame, and the blind, and you will be blessed because they cannot repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous (the just, the upright).” When one of those who were reclining at the table with Him heard this, he said to Him, “Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) is he who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!” But Jesus said to him, “A man was giving a big dinner, and he invited many guests; and at the dinner hour he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, because everything is ready now.’ But they all alike began to make excuses. The first one said to him, ‘I have purchased a piece of land and I have to go out and see it; please consider me excused.’ Another one said, ‘I have purchased five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out; please consider me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have[recently] married a wife, and for that reason I am unable to come.’ So the servant came back and reported this to his master. Then [his master,] the head of the household, became angry [at the rejections of his invitation] and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and the lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and the disabled and the blind and the lame.’ And the servant [after returning] said, ‘Sir, what you commanded has been done,

and still there is room.’ Then the master told the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled [with guests]. For I tell you, not one of those who were invited [and declined] will taste my dinner.’” Now large crowds were going along with Jesus; and He turned and said to them,“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life [in the sense of indifference to or relative disregard for them in comparison with his attitude toward God]—he cannot be My disciple.Whoever does not carry his own cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow after Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me] cannot be My disciple. For which one of you, when he wants to build a watchtower [for his guards], does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to finish it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is unable to finish [the building], all who see it will begin to ridicule him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish!’Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one who is coming against him with twenty thousand? Or else [if he feels he is not powerful enough], while the other [king] is still a far distance away, he sends an envoy and asks for terms of peace. So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not [carefully consider the cost and then for My sake] give up all his own possessions. “Therefore, salt is good; but if salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown away. He, who has ears to hear, let him hear and heed My words.” Luke 14 {AMP}

How wonderful is the LOVE and COMPASSION of our Lord Jesus Christ!?! No matter where Jesus went, even around those who hated Him and wanted Him dead, Jesus always showed love and compassion for those who were suffering with illness. As followers of Jesus we are commanded to be like Jesus. I am issuing this decree today that from this day forward I will do my best to be more like Jesus than ever before in my life. I will take Him at His word and I will lay hands on the sick so the Father in Heaven may be glorified in the HEALING of those who are afflicted. I will use the POWER of the Spoken Word to proclaim HEALING to those who are sick by using the power of the internet to reach around the world.

It is time for each of us as followers of JESUS to start acting like it by doing what Jesus has commanded us to do.

Had to end with a bit of humor....

Yes the picture above is a little funny, wanted to make you laugh a little. However, it would NOT be ideal to be on the receiving end of the Wrath of God. It is best if we follow our Savior's lead and GET OUT THERE and find those lost sheep and HEAL their broken hearts and minds, and HEAL their bodies!!!

I pray God will give each of you the BOLDNESS of a LION to go out into this world even through the internet and proclaim “The Kingdom of God” is in your presence and command HEALING to all who read your SPOKEN WORDS. In the Name of Christ Jesus I proclaim this in your lives today. AMEN!!!

Go forth into the world and be TRUE SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS through the POWER of JESUS CHRIST our LORD.

Blessings and Peace and POWER in the service of the KING,
