bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a
cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your child asks for
bread, do you trick him with sawdust? If he asks for fish, do you scare
him with a live snake on his plate? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t
think of such a thing. You’re at least decent to your own children. So
don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better? Matthew 7:9-11
All through out the Word of God, God constantly reminds His Children {FOLLOWERS} that HE is their HEAVENLY FATHER. Since He is our HEAVENLY FATHER it is HIS desire to take care of our needs. The only thing HE asks of us is to ask HIM for things. In the Book of James 4:1-12 it says you do not receive anything from God because you ask for things that you do not need. In Matthew 7:7-16 we learn that God wants to give His children GOOD GIFTS, you just have to ask. God loves and cares so much for HIS Children that HE will provide food and water just as He did for the rebellious and often time very grumpy children of Israel. In Isaiah 16 and 17 God pours out HEAVENLY BREAD from HEAVEN in the mornings, meat from quail in the evening and fresh water from a rock.
God our Father will not only supply food and water for us in our time of need, HIS Word also says the HE wants to meet ALL OUR NEEDS according to HIS RICHES.
And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
How awesome of a Father we have in God who desires to be everything we need, all we have to do is ASK. God knows there are times when we might fill anxious about something and He wants you to know He has that covered too.
‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you;I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’ Isaiah 41:10
Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. Philippians 4:6-7
