🏳️‍🌈✝️ Depression and Suicide are real - We can overcome through Jesus

Always know that there are people out here who you can talk too!!!
You are NOT as alone as you FEEL you are!!!

One of the BIGGEST LIES the enemy of GOD likes to whisper to those at their most vulnerable state is that they would be better off dead because KNOW ONE CARES...

PLEASE do NOT believe this horrible LIE. The Word of GOD says that JESUS WAS also tempted by SATAN when HE was at the most vulnerable time in His life. JESUS OVERCAME and wants you to know that YOU TOO can overcome anything this WORLD and Satan throws at you.

Now we know that You know all things, and have no need for anyone to question You; because of this we believe [without any doubt] that you came from God.”  Jesus answered them, “Do you now [at last] believe? Take careful notice: an hour is coming, and has arrived, when you will all be scattered, each to his own home, leaving Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.  I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] John 16:30-33

The Word of God tells us that Satan is a LIAR, KILLER, THIEF and a DESTROYER with a LOUD MOUTH. All we have to do is RESIST him and he will flee like a coward.

Jesus on the other hand is the GIVER of LIFE, your PROTECTOR and your DEFENSE against the temptations of the Devil.

You are of your father the devil, and it is your will to practice the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. Satan was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar and the father of lies and half-truths. John 8:44

“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up from some other place [on the stone wall], that one is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep [the protector and provider]. The doorkeeper opens [the gate] for this man, and the sheep hear his voice and pay attention to it. And [knowing that they listen] he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out [to pasture]. When he has brought all his own sheep outside, he walks on ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice and recognize his call. They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” Jesus used this figure of speech with them, but they did not understand what He was talking about.  So Jesus said again, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I am the Door for the sheep [leading to life]. All who came before Me [as false messiahs and self-appointed leaders] are thieves and robbers, but the [true] sheep did not hear them. I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security). The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. John 10:1-10

So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Let us look at what Jesus said to Satan when he tried to get JESUS to go against the will of God:

The Test
Next Jesus was taken into the wild by the Spirit for the Test. The Devil was ready to give it. Jesus prepared for the Test by fasting forty days and forty nights. That left him, of course, in a state of extreme hunger, which the Devil took advantage of in the first test: “Since you are God’s Son, speak the word that will turn these stones into loaves of bread.” Jesus answered by quoting Deuteronomy: “It takes more than bread to stay alive. It takes a steady stream of words from God’s mouth.” For the second test the Devil took him to the Holy City. He sat him on top of the Temple and said, “Since you are God’s Son, jump.” The Devil goaded him by quoting Psalm 91: “He has placed you in the care of angels. They will catch you so that you won’t so much as stub your toe on a stone.” Jesus countered with another citation from Deuteronomy: “Don’t you dare test the Lord your God.” For the third test, the Devil took him to the peak of a huge mountain. He gestured expansively, pointing out all the earth’s kingdoms, how glorious they all were. Then he said, “They’re yours—lock, stock, and barrel. Just go down on your knees and worship me, and they’re yours.” Jesus’ refusal was curt: “Beat it, Satan!” He backed his rebuke with a third quotation from Deuteronomy: “Worship the Lord your God, and only him. Serve him with absolute single-heartedness.” The Test was over. The Devil left. And in his place, angels! Angels came and took care of Jesus’ needs. Matthew 4:1-11 (MSG)
You are so much MORE than what this WORLD tries to make you think. You may be hearing that voice that tells you that you are WORTHLESS, you DON'T MATTER, no ONE CARES; but I want you to hear the TRUTH of GOD'S WORD. GOD cares so much about you that HE knew you in the WOMB and desired only the best for you. Check out these scriptures on how much GOD loves you:
Isaiah 44:24,Isaiah 49:15,Psalm 71:6,Jeremiah 1:5,Galatians 1:15

Also note that JESUS loves you so much that HE was willing to come to this EARTH, be tempted in every way that we are and show us that we can OVERCOME. John 3:16-18 says,

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him.  Whoever believes and has decided to trust in Him [as personal Savior and Lord] is not judged [for this one, there is no judgment, no rejection, no condemnation]; but the one who does not believe [and has decided to reject Him as personal Savior and Lord] is judged already [that one has been convicted and sentenced], because he has not believed and trusted in the name of the [One and] only begotten Son of God [the One who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, the One who alone can save him].

Everyone has a journey in this life that comes with lots of trials along the way. Some people are stronger at handling those trials than others. With all the trials that we face, it is even harder for LGBTQ youth when you have a large majority of the WORLD HATING on you. It is hard when you hear a MAN or WOMAN of GOD standing in the PULPIT preaching HATE against you, condemning you to hell before you even have a chance to know the LOVE and ACCEPTANCE of your SAVIOR,  JESUS CHRIST. Heterosexual young people never hear how much "GOD HATES YOU" like their LGBTQ peers have to endure. So yes, the SUICIDE rate is a lot higher in the LGBTQ youth community because they feel like they are so WORTHLESS. REMEMBER HERE, THAT IS A LIE from the father of LIES, Satan we learned about in John 8:44.

If you are a young person or a friend of a young person who is feeling down and out because of their sexual orientation please LOVE THEM where they are, listen to them and help them get the help that is available. NO more TEENS - LGBTQ or STRAIGHT - need to feel the only way out is through SUICIDE.

Here are some ALARMING STATISTICS from the TREVOR PROJECT:
  • Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among young people ages 10 to 24.1

  • LGBTQ youth seriously contemplate suicide at almost three times the rate of heterosexual youth.2
  • LGBTQ youth are almost five times as likely to have attempted suicide compared to heterosexual youth.2
  • Of all the suicide attempts made by youth, LGBTQ youth suicide attempts were almost five times as likely to require medical treatment than those of heterosexual youth.2
  • Suicide attempts by LGBTQ youth and questioning youth are 4 to 6 times more likely to result in injury, poisoning, or overdose that requires treatment from a doctor or nurse, compared to their straight peers.2
  • In a national study, 40% of transgender adults reported having made a suicide attempt. 92% of these individuals reported having attempted suicide before the age of 25.3
  • LGBTQ youth who come from highly rejecting families are 8.4 times as likely to have attempted suicide as LGBTQ peers who reported no or low levels of family rejection.4
  • 1 out of 6 students nationwide (grades 9–12) seriously considered suicide in the past year. [5]
  • Each episode of LGBT victimization, such as physical or verbal harassment or abuse, increases the likelihood of self-harming behavior by 2.5 times on average.6

DON'T be the ONE who is causing another HUMAN BEING to think they are LESS THAN. BE A FRIEND to those who seem ALONE or OUT OF PLACE. LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN to the CRIES for HELP from the LGBTQ YOUTH and the HETEROSEXUAL YOUTH who are so vulnerable to the LIES of SATAN that SUICIDE is the only way through TOUGH TIMES.
