During the month of June every year LGBTQI+ individuals along with those who love and support them celebrate what is known as Pride Month. This is to let the rest of the world know that all the hate they can muster will never prove to anyone that we are not born the way God created us. Each human being was created in the Image of God; male and female, for God is neither male nor female but He is Spirit. Therefore we need to look at humans as Spiritual Beings inhabiting human bodies {Genesis 1:27; John 4:24}.
According to Galatians 3:28 and Romans 10:12-13 there is no distinction in the
eyes of God between the sexes {male or female} when it comes to Salvation for
we are ALL {including LGBTQI+} one in Christ Jesus after we have called on Him
to be Lord of our lives. God ordained it this way so NO ONE could claim
superiority over anyone else.
It is during this time that
the ministers across the land work hard to use the Word of God to say that
LGBTQI+ individuals are possessed by demons and will all go to hell. In their
self righteous judgment {Romans 2:1-11} they seem to forget that God is a
merciful God and will forgive those who choose Jesus Christ as their Lord and
Savior therefore freeing them from the claws of sin and death {Romans 8:1-2}.
“But now the righteousness of God has been clearly revealed
[independently and completely] apart from the Law, though it is [actually]
confirmed by the Law and the [words and writings of the] Prophets. This
righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or
Gentile] who believes [and trusts in Him and acknowledges Him as God’s Son].
There is no distinction, since all have sinned and continually fall short of
the glory of God, and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin,
made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious,
undeserved] grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is
[provided] in Christ Jesus, whom God displayed publicly [before the eyes of the
world] as a [life-giving] sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation
(propitiation) by His blood [to be received] through faith. This was to
demonstrate His righteousness [which demands punishment for sin], because in
His forbearance [His deliberate restraint] He passed over the sins previously
committed [before Jesus’ crucifixion].” Romans 3:21-25
You read that correctly my friend; indeed ALL {including LGBTQI+} have
sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. This does NOT mean that there is
no hope for the LGBTQI+ people. What this means is that Jesus Christ died for
the SINS of ALL the world therefore it is up to each individual to decide to
follow Him {John 5:24}.
The “Church” is being taught by men and women who attended some type of
Bible training school {Seminary} where they were taught the deep Truth of the
Word of God. Unfortunately, like me; they are taught to NOT teach the truths
they have learned to the “Church” because they have been lied to for so many
years that they would NOT believe the TRUTH. In one of my theology classes in a
Pentecostal College we were actually told that by the professor. It is no
wonder that still today these men and women are teaching lies from the pulpits
to keep people segregated just like they have done for thousands of years.
These men and women are more like the Pharisees {Luke 16:14-15}.
Unlike Jesus Christ and the Apostles; today’s ministers more closely resemble
those found in {Matthew 7:15-20; 2 Timothy 4:3-4; 2 Timothy 3:1-9}.
Be wary of false preachers who smile a lot, dripping with practiced
sincerity. Chances are they are out to rip you off some way or other. Don’t be
impressed with charisma; look for character. Who preachers are is the main
thing, not what they say. A genuine leader will never exploit your emotions or
your pocketbook. These diseased trees with their bad apples are going to be
chopped down and burned. Matthew 7:15-20
For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and
accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to
have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for
themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own
desires and to support the errors they hold, and will turn their ears away from
the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept
the unacceptable]. 2 Timothy 4:3-4
Don’t be naive. There are
difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be
self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of
parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild,
savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and
allergic to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re
animals. Stay clear of these people. These are the kind of people who
smooth-talk themselves into the homes of unstable and needy women and take
advantage of them; women who, depressed by their sinfulness, take up with every
new religious fad that calls itself “truth.” They get exploited every time and
never really learn. These men are like those old Egyptian frauds Jannes and
Jambres, who challenged Moses. They were rejects from the faith, twisted in
their thinking, defying truth itself. But nothing will come of these latest
impostors. Everyone will see through them, just as people saw through that
Egyptian hoax. 2 Timothy 3:1-9
These men and women convince their congregations that Homosexuality is
a sin even though Homosexuality was NEVER written into the ORIGINAL TEACHINGS
called the BIBLE. The word Homosexual magically appeared in 1946 while the
translators of the RSV {Revised Standard Version} where rewriting the Bible
from the King James Version of the Bible. It is sad these “translators” chose
to defile the Word of God therefore making Jesus Christ look like a liar when
He stated in Luke 17:34,
that two men would be sleeping in the same bed when He returns to take His
Children {followers, believers} home to be with Him in Heaven. Jesus obviously
knew about homosexuals because He knows everything and yet He did NOT condemn
them but put them in the same situation as everyone else when He comes. He said
one would be taken and one would be left; meaning one would be saved and the
other would still be living in sin from not believing.
Clobber Passages used by "Unlearned Christians" against the LGBTQI+ Community |
When you study the Word of God the Holy Spirit will teach you and guide
you to the TRUTH {2 Timothy 2:15} so
that you can know when the one in the pulpit is lying to you or just not
telling you the WHOLE TRUTH. While studying the Word of God you will learn the
TRUTH regarding salvation and that TRUTH will set you free from sin {John 8:32}.
If you really want to know the “TRUTH” you need to QUIT relying on
everything that comes out of the mouths of the men and women ruling over their
churches. You will need to take the time to study the HISTORY of the Bible and
not just what you read in the Bible which has been translated so many times it
does not even resemble the original Word of God or the men who wrote the words
that God gave them by divine inspiration. You are on the internet, so use it to
learn as much as you can about the time periods in which it was written, what
was going on during that time and how it applies to our lives today. You will
honestly be surprised how much you are NOT learning when you attend Church.
Remember this my friends; when you are confronted by one of the many
uninformed “Christians” who use the Scripture to spew their HATE towards you,
Jesus Christ did NOT come into this world to condemn the world of its sin.
Jesus Christ came into this world to save this world from its sin. The only
catch is that you must acknowledge Him as Lord. Those who deny Him will surely
die in their sins {John 3:14-18; 3:36}.
We learn from the Old
Testament of the Bible that Jesus Christ would come into this world to die for
the sins of ALL who come to Him {Isaiah 53:3-5; Isaiah 53:11-12}. We also learn from Scripture
that the Religious leader of Jesus day always wanted to start arguments with
Him {Mark 8:11-12} because they refused to believe He
was the Messiah. It was the Sanhedrin that took Jesus before Pilate because
they were not allowed to murder anyone and they wanted Jesus dead {John 18:31; Sanhedrin 1:1; 7:2}. Again we read in 1 Thessalonians 2:14-15 that the Jews {which
referred to the Pharisees, Sadducees and the Sanhedrin} killed Jesus Christ.
Pilate was convinced that Jesus Christ was a Holy Man and did NOT deserve to be
put to death; however he did not want the crowd to of people to riot so he washed
his hands of the matter and gave Jesus over to be beaten and hung {Matthew 27:22-26}.
I want to leave you with this
“Good News” from the Word of God. If you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as
your personal Lord and Savior your life has been spiritually transformed,
renewed and sanctified. It does NOT matter if you are “heterosexual” or
“homosexual”; when you chose Jesus Christ as your Savior you are choosing to
take on His ways leaving the worldly ways of lust of the flesh behind {Galatians 3:26-27; 1 John 2:15-16}. Through Jesus Christ we are
rescued from the dominion of darkness and transferred to the kingdom of God {Colossians 1:13-22}. Remember it was through
God’s LOVE for ALL of us {including LGBTQI+} that He sent Jesus Christ to be
the propitiation {that is, the atoning sacrifice, and the satisfying offering}
for our sins {1 John 4:10}.
If you have NOT already given
your life to Jesus Christ, I pray you will decide today that Jesus Christ is
the TRUTH and NOT the “Church/Religion” that hurt you. It is Jesus Christ who
will forgive you of your sins and make a new man or woman out of you.
If we [freely] admit that we
have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own
nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from
all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will
and purpose]. 1 John 1:9
Therefore if anyone is in
Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a
new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the
previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things
have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Celebrate the freedom you
have in Jesus Christ to be ALL that He created you to be. Be proud of who you
are and who God created you to be. Once you realize the TRUTH from the Word of
God you will truly be set free from the bondage the Religious People try to put
you under.
Forever in Jesus Christ
service,

Isaiah 53:3-5 ~ He was despised and rejected by
men, a Man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief; And like One from
whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth
or esteem Him. But [in fact] He has borne our griefs, and He has carried our
sorrows and pains; Yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, Struck
down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him]. But He was wounded for our
transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our
wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, and by
His stripes (wounds) we are healed.
Isaiah 53:11-12 ~ As a result of the anguish of
His soul, He shall see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge [of what He has
accomplished] the Righteous One, My Servant, shall justify the many [making
them righteous—upright before God, in right standing with Him], For He shall
bear [the responsibility for] their sins. Therefore, I will
divide and give Him a portion with the great [kings and rulers], and He shall
divide the spoils with the mighty, because He [willingly] poured out His life
to death, and was counted among the transgressors; yet He Himself bore and took
away the sin of many, and interceded [with the Father] for the transgressors.
Isaiah 61:1 ~ The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me to
bring good news to the humble and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up [the
wounds of] the brokenhearted, To proclaim release [from confinement and
condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives and freedom to
prisoners.
Matthew 20:26-28 ~ It is not this way among you,
but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever
wishes to be first among you shall be your [willing and humble] slave; just as
the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as
a ransom for many [paying the price to set them free from the penalty of sin].
Mark 10:45 ~ “For even the Son of Man did not
come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
Mark 15:31-32 ~ In the same way the chief priests
also, along with the scribes, were ridiculing and mocking Him among themselves
and saying, “He saved others [from death]; He cannot save Himself! Let the
Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed), the King of Israel, now come down from the
cross, so that we may see and believe and trust [in Him]!”
Luke 4:16-21 ~ So He came to Nazareth, where He
had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the
Sabbath, and stood up to read. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to
Him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the
Messiah), Because He has anointed Me to
preach the good news to the poor. He
has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised,
crushed by tragedy), to proclaim the
favorable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the favor of God
abound greatly].” Then He rolled up the scroll [having stopped in the middle of
the verse], gave it back to the attendant and sat down [to teach]; and the eyes
of all those in the synagogue were [attentively] fixed on Him. He began
speaking to them: “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing and
in your presence.”
John 1:29 ~ The next day he saw Jesus coming to
him and said, “Look, The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
John 3:14-18; 3:36 ~ Just as Moses lifted up the [bronze]
serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must the Son of Man be lifted up [on the
cross], so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life [after physical
death, and will actually live forever]. “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly
prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that
whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have
eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn
the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the
world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes and has decided to trust in
Him [as personal Savior and Lord] is not judged [for this one, there is no
judgment, no rejection, no condemnation]; but the one who does not believe [and
has decided to reject Him as personal Savior and Lord] is judged already [that
one has been convicted and sentenced], because he has not believed and trusted
in the name of the [One and] only begotten Son of God [the One who is truly
unique, the only One of His kind, the One who alone can save him]. He who
believes and trusts in the Son and accepts Him [as Savior] has eternal life
[that is, already possesses it]; but he who does not believe the Son and
chooses to reject Him, [disobeying Him and denying Him as Savior] will not see
[eternal] life, but [instead] the wrath of God hangs over him continually.”
John 5:24 ~ I assure you and most solemnly say to
you, the person who hears My word [the one who heeds My message], and believes
and trusts in Him who sent Me, has (possesses now) eternal life [that is,
eternal life actually begins—the believer is transformed], and does not come
into judgment and condemnation, but has passed [over] from death into life.
John 10:10 ~ The thief comes only in order to
steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have
it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
John 17:3 ~ Now this is eternal life: that they
may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God, and [in the same
manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent.
John 18:36 ~ Jesus replied, “My kingdom is not of
this world [nor does it have its origin in this world]. If My kingdom were of
this world, My servants would be fighting [hard] to keep Me from being handed
over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this world.”
Romans 3:21-25 ~
But now the righteousness of God has been clearly revealed [independently and
completely] apart from the Law, though it is [actually] confirmed by the Law
and the [words and writings of the] Prophets. This righteousness of God comes
through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believes [and
trusts in Him and acknowledges Him as God’s Son]. There is no distinction,
since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God, and are
being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and
granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] grace, through
the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,
whom God displayed publicly [before the eyes of the world] as a [life-giving]
sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation (propitiation) by His blood [to be
received] through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness [which
demands punishment for sin], because in His forbearance [His deliberate
restraint] He passed over the sins previously committed [before Jesus’
crucifixion].
Romans 5:6-10 ~ While we were still helpless
[powerless to provide for our salvation], at the right time Christ died [as a
substitute] for the ungodly. Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to
willingly give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a good man
[one who is noble and selfless and worthy] someone might even dare to die. But
God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we
were still sinners, Christ died for us. Therefore, since we have now been
justified [declared free of the guilt of sin] by His blood, [how much more
certain is it that] we will be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if
while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son,
it is much more certain, having been reconciled, that we will be saved [from
the consequences of sin] by His life [that is, we will be saved because Christ
lives today].
Romans 6 ~
Believers are dead to sin, alive to God because we crucify our flesh and take
on the nature of Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins.
Romans 8:1-2 ~
Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for
those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].
For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our
new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
Romans 10:8-10 ~
But what does it say? “The word is near
you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word [the message,
the basis] of faith which we preach— because if you acknowledge and confess
with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and
majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior]
resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of
the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he
acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming
[his] salvation.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ~
For I passed on to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ
died for our sins according to [that which] the Scriptures [foretold], and that
He was buried, and that He was [bodily] raised on the third day according to
[that which] the Scriptures [foretold]
2 Corinthians 5:14; 21 ~
For the love of Christ controls and compels us, because we have concluded this,
that One died for all, therefore all died… He made Christ who knew no sin to
[judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the
righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in
a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].
2 Corinthians 5:17 ~ Therefore
if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior],
he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things
[the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new
things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].
Galatians 2:15-16 ~ [I
went on to say] “We are Jews by birth and not sinners from among the Gentiles;
yet we know that a man is not justified [and placed in right standing with God]
by works of the Law, but [only] through faith in [God’s beloved Son,] Christ
Jesus. And even we [as Jews] have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be
justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law. By observing the Law
no one will ever be justified [declared free of the guilt of sin and its
penalty].
{Being justified is a legal or judicial
declaration of righteousness. Justification has two parts: (1) Being declared
free of blame, acquitted of sin—not guilty. Believers are justified because
Jesus Christ personally assumed the guilt for our sin on the cross; (2) God
declares the person righteous, that is, placed in a position of right-standing
with Him. A person may not be made righteous by his personal behavior, no
matter how good, or by the declaration of any other human being.}
Galatians 1:3-4 ~
Grace to you and peace [inner calm and spiritual well-being] from God our
Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself [as a sacrifice to atone]
for our sins [to save and sanctify us] so that He might rescue us from this
present evil age, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God
and Father—
Galatians 2:20 ~ I
have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His
crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I
now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and
completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for
me.
Galatians 3:13 ~
Christ purchased our freedom and redeemed us from the curse of the Law and its
condemnation by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs [crucified]
on a tree (cross)”—
Galatians 3:26-27 ~ For
you [who are born-again have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed,
renewed, sanctified and] are all children of God [set apart for His purpose
with full rights and privileges] through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you
who were baptized into Christ [into a spiritual union with the Christ, the
Anointed] have clothed yourselves with Christ [that is, you have taken on His
characteristics and values].
Ephesians 2:14-16 ~
For He Himself is our peace and our bond of unity. He who made both
groups—[Jews and Gentiles]—into one body and broke down the barrier, the
dividing wall [of spiritual antagonism between us], by abolishing in His [own
crucified] flesh the hostility caused by the Law with its commandments
contained in ordinances [which He satisfied]; so that in Himself He might make
the two into one new man, thereby establishing peace. And [that He] might
reconcile them both [Jew and Gentile, united] in one body to God through the
cross, thereby putting to death the hostility.
Philippians 2:5-11 ~ Have this same attitude in
yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless
humility], who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God
[as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes—the entire
nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or
asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it]; but
emptied Himself [without renouncing or diminishing His deity, but only
temporarily giving up the outward expression of divine equality and His
rightful dignity] by assuming the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the
likeness of men [He became completely human but was without sin, being fully
God and fully man]. After He was found in [terms of His] outward appearance as
a man [for a divinely-appointed time], He humbled Himself [still further] by
becoming obedient [to the Father] to the point of death, even death on a cross.
For this reason also [because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself], God
has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
so that at the name of Jesus every knee
shall bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and
under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that
Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God), to the glory of God the Father.
Colossians 1:13-22 ~ For He has rescued us and
has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us
to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption [because of His
sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of
sins’ penalty]. He is the exact living image [the essential manifestation] of
the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible], the firstborn
[the preeminent one, the sovereign, and the originator] of all creation. For by
Him all things were created in heaven and on earth, [things] visible and
invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things
were created and exist through Him [that is, by His activity] and for Him. And
He Himself existed and is before all things, and in Him all things hold
together. [His is the controlling, cohesive force of the universe.] He is also
the head [the life-source and leader] of the body, the church; and He is the
beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will occupy the
first place [He will stand supreme and be preeminent] in everything. For it
pleased the Father for all the fullness [of deity—the sum total of His essence,
all His perfection, powers, and attributes] to dwell [permanently] in Him (the
Son), and through [the intervention of] the Son to reconcile all things to
Himself, making peace [with believers] through the blood of His cross; through
Him, [I say,] whether things on earth or things in heaven. And although you
were at one time estranged and alienated and hostile-minded [toward Him],
participating in evil things, yet Christ has now reconciled you [to God] in His
physical body through death, in order to present you before the Father holy and
blameless and beyond reproach—
Colossians 2:6-7 ~ Therefore as you have received
Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in [union with] Him [reflecting His character in
the things you do and say—living lives that lead others away from sin], having
been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and
[becoming increasingly more] established in your faith, just as you were
taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 ~ For God has not destined
us to [incur His] wrath [that is, He did not select us to condemn us], but to
obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died [willingly] for us, so
that whether we are awake (alive) or asleep (dead) [at Christ’s appearing], we
will live together with Him [sharing eternal life].
Hebrews 9:15; 9:22 ~ For this reason He is the Mediator and Negotiator of a new
covenant [that is, an entirely new agreement uniting God and man], so that
those who have been called [by God] may receive [the fulfillment of] the
promised eternal inheritance, since a death has taken place [as the payment]
which redeems them from the sins committed under the obsolete first covenant.
In fact under the Law almost everything is cleansed with blood, and without the
shedding of blood there is no forgiveness [neither release from sin and its
guilt, nor cancellation of the merited punishment].
1 Peter 2:24 ~ He personally carried our
sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar
of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty
and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who
believe] have been healed.
1 Peter 3:18-20 ~ For indeed Christ died for sins
once for all, the Just and Righteous for the unjust and unrighteous [the
Innocent for the guilty] so that He might bring us to God, having been put to
death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit; in which He also went and
preached to the spirits now in prison, who once were disobedient, when the
great patience of God was waiting in the days of Noah, during the building of
the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons [Noah’s family], were brought
safely through the water.
1 John 2:1-2 ~ My little children (believers,
dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate
God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us]
with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who
conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action]. And
He [that same Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice
that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because
of our sinful nature—our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone,
but also for [the sins of all believers throughout] the whole world.
1 John 4:10 ~ In this is love, not that we loved
God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation [that is, the
atoning sacrifice, and the satisfying offering] for our sins [fulfilling God’s
requirement for justice against sin and placating His wrath].
Revelation
1:5 ~ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful and trustworthy Witness,
the Firstborn of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who
[always] loves us and who [has once for all] freed us [or washed us] from our
sins by His own blood (His sacrificial death)—
