But prove yourselves doers of the word
[actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners
[who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves
[by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. For if anyone only listens to the
word without obeying it, he is like a man who looks very carefully at his
natural face in a mirror; for once
he has looked at himself and gone away, he immediately forgets what he looked
like. But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides
by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer
[who obeys], he will be blessed and
favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience]. James 1:22-25
The counterfeit church system creates
members who are solely dependent upon their ordained ministers to hear from God
for them. They sit, listen and nod their heads while being spoon fed doctrine
that fits to their denominational templates. The members conform to a tithing
system to finance the lavish kingdoms of their pastor-king and his entourage.
They bow to the whims of their king being bilked of their time, money,
abilities and energy as they work for a religious hierarchical corporation.
Christians will
line up around the block in anticipation of the latest fad hoping to satisfy
their insatiable hunger for their next fix of religious bliss. They rely on the
countless religious celebrities who are the modern day super heroes that will
bring them salvation.
Beware of the false
prophets,
[teachers] who
come to you dressed as sheep [appearing gentle and innocent], but inwardly are ravenous wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them [that is, by their contrived doctrine
and self-focus]. Do
people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the
unhealthy tree bears bad fruit. A good
tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.Every
tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruit you will recognize them [as false prophets]. Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord,
will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father
who is in heaven. Many will say
to Me on that day [when I judge them], Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out
demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name? And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I
never knew you; depart
from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]. {Amplified Bible}
Be wary of false
preachers who smile a lot, dripping with practiced sincerity. Chances are they
are out to rip you off some way or other. Don’t be impressed with charisma;
look for character. Who preachers are
is the main thing, not what they say. A genuine leader will never exploit your
emotions or your pocketbook. These diseased trees with their bad apples are
going to be chopped down and burned.Knowing the correct
password—saying Master, Master, for instance—isn’t going to get you anywhere
with me. What is required is serious obedience—doing what my Father wills. I can see it now—at the Final
Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, Master, we preached the
Message, we bashed the demons, and our God-sponsored projects had everyone
talking. And do you know what I am going to say? You missed the boat. All you
did was use me to make yourselves important. You don’t impress me one bit.
You’re out of here. {Message Bible}
How heartbroken
God must be witnessing how much of His creation actually live in a “religious fantasy
of church system” that glorifies men instead of God. They do things in
His name, but the truth is that the name they do things in is their own.
The religious
masses are blinded in their false religion called church. The foundation and
precepts on which they function are; man-driven agendas that denies God's
instructions.
The True Church, which is the body of Christ of which He
is the Head, should be recognizable by the mighty acts and works of Christ.
Most of today’s church is known by its social programs, inoffensive message and
“...every man
did (doing) that which was right in his own eyes.” {Judges 21:25} That may be what people want, but it is a
far cry from being a real, True Church, as being the representative of the body
of Christ.
If we desire and long for the church to be this
expression of Christ in the world, it is available and possible. We must pray,
and “...fight strenuously for [the defense of]
the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints [the faith that is
the sum of Christian belief that was given verbally to believers].” {Jude 3}
The TRUE
BELIEVERS who have chosen to believe the TRUTH from God’s Word and NOT the LIES
from the FALSE TEACHERS in this world actually find joy in carrying out the
commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us examine now what being a FAITHFUL
follower of Jesus Christ and His commandments will produce.
Jesus commanded all who follow Him to HEAL
the sick.
Now Jesus called together the twelve
[disciples] and gave them [the right to exercise] power and authority over all
the demons and to heal diseases. Then He sent them out [on a brief journey] to
preach the kingdom of God and to perform healing. So they began going from village to village,
preaching the gospel and healing the
sick everywhere. {Luke 9:1-2, 6}
Jesus said HEAL the sick; He did NOT say
pray for the sick. Healing should NOT be an isolated, {one-chance-in-a-100-or-1,000 occurrence}.
Healing should be everywhere just like it was when the original disciples were
going about doing the business of the Kingdom of God. When the masses witness
TRUE miracles from God sinners will come to be saved.
Don’t go and get it twisted now; praying
for the sick is certainly Biblical {James 5:14-15}. Believers are encouraged to call on the
elders of the church to pray for them.
Is anyone among you sick? He must call for the elders
(spiritual leaders) of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him
with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one
who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he
will be forgiven. James 5:14-15
While it is a good thing as a believer to
go to other believers for pray; we still cannot get away from the FACT that
JESUS said to go into the world and cast out demons and heal the sinners who
are sick. According to {Mark 16:15-20}, the following signs will follow those
who BELIEVE:
1.
In My {JESUS}
name they will cast out demons
2.
They will speak in NEW tongues
3.
They will pick up serpents {Jesus confirms
that mankind has dominion over every living thing}
4.
If they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them {This is power over
ALL deadly forces from Satan}
5.
The will LAY HANDS on the SICK, and they WILL GET WELL.
The disciples took JESUS at His word and
went out preaching everywhere and confirmed the Word of God they preached with
SIGNS {HEALINGS}.
Look at the instructions of Jesus to the
original twelve disciples:
Matthew 10:7-8 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is
at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, and
cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Now look at the instruction Jesus gave the
seventy {70} who followed Him:
Luke 10:8-12 Whenever you go into a city and they welcome you, eat
what is set before you; and heal those in it who are sick [authenticating your message], and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God
has come near to you.’ But whatever city you enter and they do
not welcome you, go out into its streets and say,‘Even the
dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you [breaking all ties]; yet understand this, that the kingdom of God has come
near [and you rejected
it].’I tell you, it
will be more bearable in that day [of judgment] for Sodom than for that city.
Here we see in both instances that Jesus
did NOT tell His disciples to PRAY for the SICK. He AUTHORIZED them to HEAL the
SICK. He even commanded them to RAISE THE DEAD and CAST OUT DEMONS. Check out

Raised from the dead, to see examples of people being raised from
the dead by people walking close to God and the ones Jesus brought back to life.
The POWER to HEAL comes through the
PROCLAMATION, “Tell them what God WILL DO”, when spoken with the BOLDNESS that
only comes through following Jesus Christ and DOING what He commands you to do.
When you speak the Truth of God’s Word with
Boldness and confidence {knowing Jesus Christ will deliver}, RESULTS will
follow.
For example, when you see a sinner who is
sick and diseased, ask about their condition. How did it happen? How long have
they been sick? As you have this interaction with them, they will begin to let
their guard down and start trusting you {feeling comfortable with you}.
Once you have established this comfortable
place for them, say to them what Jesus told His disciples to say: “I have GOOD
NEWS for you today! The Kingdom of God has come near you.”
While they are looking at you in
bewilderment offer them this challenge:
“If you will give me your hand the POWER of
God will be released into you and heal you.”
As soon as they agree with you, COMMAND
them to be healed and release the POWER of God into them knowing that as you
touch them JESUS is touching them through your obedience.
As you begin the journey into obedience it
is important for you to understand that the POWER is in the PROCLAMATION. Tell
the person with the infirmity or afflicted condition what God will do so they
can be healed physically and spiritually.
Listen my friends, Don’t pray for them, use
the authority given to you by JESUS CHRIST and HEAL them! The POWER of JESUS
NAME will make MIRACLES HAPPEN.
If you were to “PRAY” for them; those
prayers could be shrouded in “UNBELIEF”. Praying is often a person’s feeble
attempt at “HOPING” something will happen.
Jesus told us to HEAL the sick. You don’t
have to try and see if it will work. You have been AUTHORIZED by HEAVEN to do
amazing things through the NAME of JESUS CHRIST. All you need to do now is get
out there in the world and do what Jesus has commanded you to do with complete
BOLDNESS knowing that you are being backed by the KINGDOM of HEAVEN through
Christ Jesus.
Remember my friend YOU ARE NOT ALONE; you
have ALL of HEAVEN standing with you because JESUS CHRIST is now sitting in the
throne room of Heaven with God our Creator.
Mark 16:20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord
was working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed.
Calling out to
ALL the TRUE FOLLOWERS of JESUS CHRIST; get busy doing the FATHER’S WILL
through the POWER of HIS SON CHRIST JESUS.

twelve disciples, He went on from there to teach and to preach in their
[Galilean] cities. Now when John [the Baptist] in prison heard
about the activities of Christ, he sent word
by his disciples and asked Him, “Are You the Expected One (the Messiah), or
should we look for someone else [who will be the promised One]?” Jesus
answered, “Go and report to John what you hear and see: the blind receive
[their] sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed
[by healing] and the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and
the poor
have the gospel preached to them.
Ephesians 5:23 Christ is head of the church, Himself being the Savior of the body.
1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body,
and individually [you are] members of it [each with his own special purpose and
function].
Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers,
cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is [eternally changeless, always] the
same yesterday and today and forever.
Mark 16:17-18 These signs will accompany those who have
believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they
drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick,
and they will get well.
